The Landscape
Landscape photography, to my way of thinking, is the most challenging and rewarding genre of the art there is.
Every time out, I am faced with a set of cirumstances--shape, texture, light, weather, time, to name a few--that I must mold to create a beautiful image.
As Ansel Adams said: "Landscape photography is the supreme test of the photographer--and often the supreme disapointment."
Like probably every photographer on the planet, Adams was an early influence on my photographic journey.
His approach to "pre-visualization" of an image--creating a vision of the image in your mind before clicking the shutter and then using it as a guide to your final work--still resonates.
It is my hope that you love these images as much as I loved making them.
